I got a flu shot, I really did. I know I did because it hurt for about a week! Anyway, yesterday about 4pm I started feeling not so great. By 5:30 I felt like something had run me over and I was freezing so I took my temp and it was 100. Over the next few hours the fever steadily got worse, the highest I measured was 104. This morning I didn't even notice Lars take Niamh to daycare but I did have a really bad dream about her being stolen and me being sure they would bring her back but they didn't. Fever dream, fun fun.

So I slept until 10:30 and then logged into work because there were two things I had to take care of. I was hoping I would feel better but as of almost 2pm I really do not. Lars and I made the decision that we should not go to Boars Head this weekend even though we both really really want to go because its a long drive to feel miserable. There is also the added threat that Lars or Niamh will get this any time now since it came on very suddenly.

So, please spread the word, we are not coming :(

We are proud to announce that last night at 10:06 PM, Niamh Mizzi Luthner was born. She was 7 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long. ...

Sorry for not getting this out to the world until now, but, yesterday was a very hard day and when it was done it was shower and sleep and feed the baby. We took pictures but I think mom ended up with the camera at home so none for the Internet until she comes back with it. We are in the hospital until Wed so if you need me thats where I'll be.

For those who have heard the regalia rumor, here is my unofficial response. I'm not officially responding since nobody officially asked :)

http://katystuff.wordpress.com/

Anyway - I hope my answer reads the way I wrote it and that is basically *chill* I am doing nothing drastic, mean, hasty or even anything very soon. Anything that does get done in this project will be well published and discussed and rational, as I hope all projects I undertake are handled.

Hi Everyone,

I know alot of you don't read my wordpress blog (http://katystuff.wordpress.com) and that is fine since I usually just randomly chatter about stuff but I did post a bunch of pictures today so I'll repost them here;

http://picasaweb.google.com/Kate79

There is a belly gallery of my expanding bump, and two galleries mostly of home improvement projects. For the SCA people, there is a regalia gallery too that the plan is to someday get history and care articles for each item and have it all available from the kingdom website but right now it is still with me.

Hope everyones weekend is going well.

two events in a row, here are my published thanks;

Thank Yous for Flesh Wound

- Thank you to Kristen for the attention to detail for the entire event, we all enjoyed the day because of your planning and organization.
- To Stephen for packing more fighting into one day then anyone thought possible. His Highness specially compliments the format where everyone could learn the various weapons formats in a competition environment without having to entirely commit to a new weapon.
- To all those who donated prizes, these were all worthy to fight for and you are extremely generous for making them.
- To Murdach who made court fun for all.

Thank Yous for Hromnice

- Thank you to the event steward and who ever found that gorgeous site, hopefully we can use it again in the future.
- To Mistress Eithni for teaching in the balcony, we all enjoyed learning and watching you teach
- To all those who taught classes, it was great to see such a full schedule.
- To Mistress Wyndreth and her bag of shiny things, your impromptu entertainment plan pre feast was fun and filled the time nicely

And as always, thanks to those who traveled with us and took charge of the royal logistics of the day.

(will also be posted on our royal website)

To all the autocrats, we know there was a lot to overcome and achieve but the day was fantastic, the event had the ambiance of large family gathering, thank you for all the behind the scenes work.

To the crew who helped us un-load and set up the regalia display, thank you for your swift attendance in sub zero weather, I also thank the autocrats again for the space allowed for a regalia display, We fee that it is important for the populace to be able to see the items lovingly crafted for Northshield by her people and those given as gifts from royal cousins.

A special thank you to Rodrigo and Khadijah for 5 wonderful years; we arrived in Northshield just before they stepped up and they have personally made us feel welcome in both Nordskogen and Northshield.

I'm cross posting my thankyou's - they are also going to be on our official website. Please spread the word (and all the other events are up there too).

To Alinor; you were a fantastic Retainer of the day, I hope you had fun too

Lucia Sforza – the hair pieces you crafted are gorgeous, I can't wait to use them.

To Mistress Merouda Pendray – we believe it was you with the drive by gift of scribal items. I will certainly use them and I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

To Kristen, thanks for the wonderful chocolate, we enjoyed it on our drive home, and for all your help behind the scenes

To the Baron and Baroness – Thank you for the gift baskets, I recognize Her Excellencies hand in the necklaces and all the treats were thoroughly enjoyed, please extend our thanks to the other individual contributors

To Mikey, who knew exactly what to say to make a foreign royal welcome and a tournament run smoothly (and the baby likes your voice, lots of kicking)

To Don Michael St. Christian and THL Ambrose von Pasau and the 30 others in the Sleeve Tournament, you made the day very special.

To Don Toshikage and Alexandra der Wasserman, thank you for running the Sleeve Tournament on such short notice.

To all those who fought on the heavy and rapier field with HRH Lars, We were impressed with the turnout for all lists and that is a credit to the event and to the Kingdom.

Thanks also to the event and feast staff, Boar's head is always among Our favorite winter events and this year was no exception.

YIS

Princess Mary
